Obi-Wan Kenobi, also known as Ben Kenobi, is a fictional character from the Star Wars series of films and related media. He is portrayed by Ewan McGregor and Alec Guinness, the former of whom is generally considered to be one of the better aspects of the prequel trilogy.

Canon

He appears in the first six Star Wars films, the animated series Star Wars: Clone Wars (2003) and Star Wars: The Clone Wars (2008), the Legends book series Jedi Apprentice, and many comics and standalone novels. The Obi-Wan Kenobi miniseries (2022) is set 10 years after the prequel trilogy, and focuses on Obi-Wan saving a kidnapped ten-year-old Leia Organa.

In the earliest film (Star Wars IV: A New Hope, 1977), Kenobi is the Jedi Master who Luke Skywalker seeks out after seeing the message that Leia Organa had given to R2-D2. The prequel trilogy features Kenobi's relationship with Anakin Skywalker, who becomes Darth Vader. The Obi-Wan Kenobi miniseries (2022) is set between the prequel and the original trilogies, and is more of a character study, with a focus on Kenobi's pain, guilt and grief.

Fandom

Kenobi is very popular within the Whump and Hurt/Comfort genres of fanwork.

Shipping

Especially within the Prequels-era Fandom, he is often used as a Fandom Bicycle.

In part due to his status as a fandom bicycle, there is a great deal of smut featuring Obi-Wan as a main character. One semi-fanon trope that exists involves his home planet of Stewjon. There is almost no canonical information about the planet, since the name was coined off-the-cuff during a convention interview[1], which enables fans to develop their own fantastical biological traits to apply to Stewjoni characters (ie. Obi-Wan). These traits are often similar to those of A/B/O, such as male pregnancy and self-lubrication, or a biological need to have sex. Other Stewjoni tropes include Sithspawn (in which Stewjoni were biologically modified by ancient Sith in some way), dual-sex biology, and wings of various forms.

Events

As well as events related to many of the various ships, there are also events about Obi-Wan generally or with anyone.
