Rogue's Gallery Reader's Survey was a 1985 survey by fans of Harrison Ford fans.

The survey itself was included in Rogue's Gallery #18 (March 1985), and the results were printed in the "Rogue's Gallery" #19.

The survey's results are based on 58 [1]-64 [2] replies which was about one third of the zine's subscribers.

There were two parts to the survey: the first part was the lengthiest, and its topic was Harrison Ford and his movies. The second part was much shorter, and the topic was the content of the zine itself.

From the editor of "Rogue's Gallery": "I hope you noticed the questionnaire included with this Rogue. Please, everyone! Fill in the questions, and return the questionnaire to Laura O'Brien. You need not use your name, but we want everyone to participate. I have a hunch the tallies will surprise us! The results will be in the next Rogue. Thanks."

The Survey Results

Comments by "Rogue's Gallery" Editor

Joann Emerson, "Rogue Gallery's" editor had these comments about what fans had to say about the second part of the survey, the part about the zine itself:

I'd like to comment on the Rogue Survey taken in RG #18. I wanted to get some idea of possible changes in RG that would better suit those fans who are members now. These figures represent about one third of the total membership/subscribers. The figures shown represent 58 replies I received by May 7th.

It's apparent to me that most of the fans answering the survey are happy with RG's contents as it stands. The, most disliked parts of RG are the fiction (14 votes) followed by poetry (7 votes), repetitious news items (7 votes), art (8 votes) and quality of printing, one item not listed, which received 7 black marks. I intend to improve on as many of these things as I can. My biggest problem has been art and finding several people who can do action-art for fiction. Anyone able to do this, please contact me immediately. Those who liked the fiction and art, i.e., those who mentioned them specifically, are almost equal to those who specifically disliked the fiction and art, which equalizes both sides. Still I will try to do better in all departments. Only one person specifically mentioned they liked the price of RG, although I have received comments on this in letters.

This issue starts Rogue's fifth year. I don't know where the time has gone. This RG#19 issue hopefully will show some improvements over past publications, as well as some news items not seen anywhere else. Thanks for your suggestions and your support. [3]
