Reception

This very much was a Greek tragedy :( It hurts so much. If only he realized how he felt a few moments sooner. This was really good. I was hanging onto every word.

Whoa. I did not expect this. What a fic. I don't even know where to begin with this one...

I suppose I'll start out by saying that was one of the most beautifully heartbreaking death scenes I've read. Slow and painful and gorgeous. I'm not going to be able to get it out of my head.

And then there's everything that comes after: the way Gabriel remembers but Adrien begins to forget, the way drawings and names can't even survive, the way he gets defensive when asked what he's done (so in character despite his grief and love for her), and then the fact that he decides to go to Tibet anyway. Ahhhhhh, it's all amazing.

Gosh, I loved your modern interpretation of Greek tragedy! It was so sad! 💙🥺

In the scene of Nath's sacrifice I felt my heart tighten, as if it was wrapped in barbed wire... It was all really painful, with all that love unspoken, but suspended in the air like so many drops of water.

Or Gabe's new "post-wish" life... It felt so empty without Nath's essential presence.

Also I loved all the metaphors used within the fic... They made it so vivid!

Wonderful work! ❤️❤️
