Epic: The Musical is a series of concept albums that retell the story of The Odyssey, chronicling the struggles of Odysseus on his journey to return home after the end of the Trojan War.

Canon

The songs are divided into nine albums, referred to as Sagas, that are split up into two acts. The first act contains five Sagas, while the second contains four. Each saga covers a specific period of Odysseus’s journey:

• The Troy Saga was released in December 2022.
• The Cyclops Saga was released in January 2023.
• The Ocean Saga was released in December 2023.
• The Circe Saga was released in February 2024.
• The Underworld Saga was released in April 2024.
• The Thunder Saga is yet to be released.
• The Wisdom Saga is yet to be released.
• The Vengeance Saga is yet to be released.
• The Ithaca Saga is yet to be released.

The musical is planned to have a total of forty songs, half of which have been released at the time of this writing.

Creator Jorge Rivera-Herrans regularly shares in-progress clips of upcoming songs on tiktok and other social media platforms prior to the official release of the finished versions.

Fandom

Due to the audio-only nature of the canon media, the fandom frequently creates animatics based on individual songs in order to visualize the events being depicted in each track. Fans have also created instrumental and cover versions of both current and to-be-released songs.

Fans of the series refer to themselves as Winions on social media.
