History

On November 22, 2013, the band released their first single, "The Oncoming Storm," as part of a tribute video to celebrate Doctor Who's 50th anniversary on YouTube.

One year later, they released their first EP, with "The Oncoming Storm" as its title track. With subject including the Weeping Angles, River Song, and the Doctor's relationship to his T.A.R.D.I.S., the EP culminated in a farewell to the 11th Doctor with "Goodbye Bowtie." Known for creative detailed lyrics about the show, all while "making a playful, pop-music[1]" mashup.

In early 2015, LNR began playing live shows in their native Tennessee, in full character as "The Librarian (piano/vocals), The Engineer (guitar/vocals), The Illusionist (keys/vocals), Elise Prefect, (bass/vocals) and The Vashta Nerada (drums). They have put out a series of webisodes, called "The UNIT Files" that explore the alien personas that they adopt on stage and in their videos. In may 2015 they were featured on the official Doctor Who Channel show The Universal Song Contest & Symphonic Spectacular! | Doctor Who: The Fan Show

In 2018 Ryan Maker (The Engineer), Chelsea Maker (The Illusionist) moved to California to start the band We are Makers, Ashley Litchford (Elise Prefect), and Tavius Marshall (The Vashta Nerada) stayed in Nashville pursuing full time production on other projects. Currently Jesse Moon (The Librarian) has unknown whereabouts. The band is on what they call a "permanent hiatus", though there are rumors of a re-union song coming out for the 60th anniversary.
