Peter Roe Memorial Booklets are an irregular series of Tolkien fanworks issued by The Tolkien Society created in memory of a young and very creative fan. A talented cartographer and writer, Peter was just 16 years old when he was was struck by a vehicle and died instantly.
There have been 24 issues published to date (Oct 2024) and they seek to forward Tolkien studies in all areas.
The first publication to be financed by the Peter Roe Memorial Fund, 'Some Light on Middle-earth' by Edward Crawford, was published in 1985. Subsequent publications have been formed from papers delivered at Tolkien Society Workshops (subsequently Tolkien Society Seminars); speeches given at Tolkien Society annual dinners; and articles taken from Amon Hen, the Society's bi-monthly publication.
