Aarinfantasy was created by Aarin in 2004 and has developed into one of the largest English language yaoi communities on the web. The aarinfantasy team not only provides information and downloads to yaoi anime, manga and BL Games, they also work as scanlators and subbers.
- The purpose of this website is to provide yaoi/BL fans a database in which they can find information on their favorite titles and titles fansubbed/scanlated by Aarinfantasy.[1]
History
Aarinfantasy was established in 2004 due to the lack of centralized resources for fan-translated yaoi and bl titles. "The process of getting this collection frustrated me before 2004 and that's why I thought to myself why not save everyone from the pain and share it out?"[1] As very few U.S. companies were willing to license series with homosexual content, finding these works outside a fan context was even more difficult.
