The Dresden Files Kink Meme is a kink meme for The Dresden Files fandom. The kink meme was initially located on the Founder's personal Dreamwidth account for Rounds 1 (held in January 2011) & 2 (held in February 2011) but was then moved to a designated Dreamwidth Community before opening Round 3.
In March of 2011, the Community Kink meme moved to a designated Community Site on Dreamwidth, closing out Rounds 1 & 2, which were then partially ported over on the 21st. On March 29, Round 3 opened for posting and remained open until Round 4 launched on July 19, 2011.
A unique round dedicated to 'Community Casting' was opened on October 23, 2011 and asked the Community to state their preference for Actors/Actresses cast as characters for the Dresden Files. Harry Blackstone Copperfield Dresden received seven casting suggestions, including Aldis Hodge, Lena Headley, and an Irish Wolfhound.
Round 5 was the final prompt round, opening to celebrate the Cold Days book release in November of 2011, the 14th book in the Harry Dresden series. Round 5 never formally closed, though Moderators began screening prompts and fills in May of 2015, citing excessive spam.
Community member prompts were being published until sometime in early 2018, with the last fill posted in February of the same year.
The Dresden Kink Meme community welcomed content of all mediums for all characters and pairings. While primarily tilted towards kink-based content, non-kink or gen content was acceptable.
Moderators required that dubcon, noncon, underage characters in sexual situations, major character death, suicide, self-harm, and/or graphic descriptions be tagged with trigger warnings as appropriate.
