Due Credit was a due South fiction award.
From the Due Credit FAQ: "The Due Credit Awards were created by strwriter139 in 1999 to award Due South fan fiction writers for their hard work in entertaining us and keeping the Due South characters alive. These awards are voted on by other fic writers and readers."
While the awards covered gen, het and slash fan fiction, the slash community opted to create their own awards in 1999, the Serge Awards, possibly since the dueCredit award moderator (an earlier pseud of thanfiction) was underage (15) at the time. [1]

In 2001, strwriter139 passed the awards over to MegFraser and Icecat62. [2]
