Canon
Carol and Ezekiel meet in Season 7 when Carol is brought to The Kingdom to recover from injuries she sustained at the hands of the Saviors. Carol initially thinks King Ezekiel is ridiculous, but Ezekiel privately admits to her that the his royal persona is an act to give his people a feeling of safety and confidence. At the end of Season 7 Ezekiel decides that The Kingdom should join Alexandria and The Hilltop in the fight against the saviors, and Carol fights by his side. After All Out War Carol returns to The Kingdom. At the beginning of season 9, Carol accepts Ezekiel's proposal. After the time skip they are shown ruling together and raising their adopted son Henry.
