Far Beyond the Stars (FBTS) is the official fanclub for Alexander Siddig (who played Julian Bashir), Nana Visitor (Kira Nerys), Armin Shimerman (Quark) and Andrew Robinson (Elim Garak) on Deep Space Nine.[1]
It was formed in September 1999 from the fusion of The Doctor's Exchange, a Siddig fanclub, and Nanites, a Visitor fanclub.[2] It was presumably named for the eponymous season 6 episode set in 1950s America, in which Siddig & Visitor play a married couple; the actors were then married. The joint fanclub survived the actors' divorce in 2001. The Visitor side of the club remains known as the Nanites.[3]

It publishes a bimonthly newsletter and maintains at least three fansites:
