Grimes Family 2.0 is a fan term and concept in The Walking Dead TV Show fandom. The name is playing off of 2.0 being defined as an improvement over the original. It focuses on Michonne becoming and being a member of the Grimes family after Lori's death.

And I love how Michonne is such a light in Rick and Carl's lives. She showed up like a day after the worst thing that ever happened to them. And while things have certainly been hard, they’ve been better ever since she showed up at that fence. She found them after losing the prison, which ended up pushing them to Terminus, which is how they found Judith. She’s why they kept on trucking to Washington, even after all their options seemed to literally be drying up, which is how they found Alexandria. She’s why they’re fighting for their lives even now, when Rick thought he had no other option but to submit to Negan. She is the beating heart of the Grimes family, and the show never allows Rick (or the audience) to forget that.
