Oasis were an English rock band that formed in 1991 and split in 2009. The two members of the band who were in the band from the time it formed in 1991 until the split in 2009 were brothers Liam Gallagher and Noel Gallagher. The brothers have an ongoing and public feud with one another, often fighting while the band was still together, and since the split have claimed to no longer speak to one another. The fandom is notable for the most popular ship in the fandom, both currently and historically, being the incest slash ship of Liam Gallagher/Noel Gallagher.

On the Archive of Our Own in 2024 the top pairing by far is Liam Gallagher/Noel Gallagher. There are at least three documented times the brothers have publicly kissed one another on the mouth: a much photographed kiss onstage at a gig on August 3, 1996 in Loch Lomond, Scotland [1], on video in 1995 and included in the 2016 documentary "Supersonic" [2], and at the 2005 Q Awards. [3] Within fandom circles, the ship is commonly referred to as either gcest, or gallaghercest. Snickfic's Gallaghercest Primer is a popular resource summarising the appeal of the pairing.
