Organization XIII, also known as The Organization, is a recurring group of characters in the Disney/Square Enix video game series Kingdom Hearts that serves as a major antagonistic force in multiple installments.
Canon background
Organization XIII is comprised of Nobodies, the empty bodies left behind when a person's heart has been lost to darkness. Membership is comprised of Nobodies strong-willed enough to retain human form after the loss of their heart. The group was initially founded by the students of Ansem the Wise with the ostensible goal of regaining their hearts through the completion of an artificial version of the titular heart of all worlds.
