A Apology from the Author

From the zine:

I would like to apologize in advance for the negative depiction of some of the rerecurring [sic] cast of Kung Fu: The Legend Continues, and would like to emphasize that this story is in no way a reflection of my own personal views of these characters. But I have said too much. Enjoy the book and let me know what you think.

Great story. Poor Peter, losing trust in all the cops. [2]

I thought this was a really really good story. It was one of the better ones I read. Although I truly detest the concept of any sort of discrimination or racism. I thought you didn't excellent job in showing how despicable hate crimes can be and I also thought they were very true to the characters. I thought your exploration of Peter's issues with abandonment and is time in the orphanage was excellent. I love the twist you put forth with master Khan. It always seemed rather strange to me that Ping Hi was so worried about Peter and his safety within regards to Tan yet. He just sent him off to an orphanage with people who would have no clue how to protect him or even believe that there was a reason to protect him from the type of things Tan was capable of, and he used his actual name Peter Caine so I always wondered what exactly kept somebody from doing a simple check just to make sure that Peter didn't escape the temple with the other children and actually finding him. So the concept of master Khan being there as a "guardian angel" was actually interesting. I also like the fact that Peter didn't just automatically forgive Kelly even though it may have not been the Shaolin way. I personally think that the last thing she should've gotten was a commendation. Somebody should have the least question her participation if Peter told the truth about what happened. I know she was undercover but she should've reported something to someone. I personally got the impression that she took the opportunity to say get a little back. I also didn't really care for her with Peter in the show because although she had experience some of the things that happened due to his Shaolin background she didn't seem to accept or even try to understand that part of himself anymore than he did, and I think that her attitude towards the whole situation of not wanting to deal with that side of Peter made Peter more ashamed and less willing to embrace his Shaolin side. That's one thing that I always really admired about Mary Margaret Skullany and Jody. I understand Peter's reticence to have a relationship with Jody because of her twin sister, but I thought they would actually have done better as a couple than Kelly or Jordan or any of the other singer people that he dated because like Mary Margaret Jody seem to be more open toward both his cop side and his Shaolin heritage. I really really wish that somebody who enjoys the show and is capable of writing combat scenes could write a story as detailed and well put together as this one after Peter received his brands. I truly hate that we did not get to see more of master Peter Caine. Anyway, that gets me off on another rant. So, LOL thank you for the wonderful story-Lady Julanna [3]
