Reactions and Reviews

GOD I love this story!! A few years ago, I know I bid some nice cash to get my hands on this, Mama Bird, and I never, ever regretted it. And when it went up here, I zoomed right over. This is a fanfriggingtastic piece of artwork. The boys are done just right..fully in character with all their beauty and all their blemishes. I can so picture the resort and the cabin itself, and that skiing scene about had me looking to purchase a box of Depends I was laughing so hard. The sex was, as always, smoking! Cock rings!! YEAH! I love this. I love it, love it, love it! [1]

Oh Flamingo! This is a blazing, awesome, wonderful...steamy sweet story! LOVE it! Your work is famous throughout the fandom and I have several of yours on my reading list (Total Eclipse as a start)...but this one begged to be read and I devoured it. You write these guys SOOOOO well and so...ummm, gulp, hot. I love them in your hands, and wrapped around each other. Plus - you not only give us spice, you give us a beautiful story. The skiing scene, Hutch's comment about skis and his Mum - I just about lost it. Wonderful in every way. Thank you!!!! [2]

This is a post Sweet Revenge story. I happen to love post SR stories, so I read a lot of them.

In this story, the boys go to Tahoe for a vacation but Hutch can't ever relax. Ever. It is his mission in life to watch Starsky constantly, because he sees assassins around every corner. Not only does se see somebody out for Starsky around ever corner, he sees other things, weird things that might or might not be there.

Flamingo really gives me a great story here, complete with an obsessive Hutch and a Starsky who's had just about enough of the smothering. [3]

What a wonderful story. That white stag reminded me of that dog that Hutch always saw in that one episode, forget the name of it. Anyway it was a beautiful connection, esp. when the dark one stood next to the white stag in the end. How symbolic that was! The romance between the guys was fabulous. That last love scene just blew me away! I felt the same way Hutch did after my husband had two open heart surgeries. Hard to relax and just live in the moment sometmes. One thing I learned though, love does conquer all! [4]

First I needed a cigarette...and I don't even smoke! Then a kleenex. Whoo! What a ride! [5]

is it... superficial of me... to say you write the best sex scenes- ever!? :)

golly. all that love... i feel absolutely voyeuristic reading this but i didn't ever want it to end.

and the white stag- the part he played in the healing of hutch's heart... gosh, how perfect. something so mythological and magical to match the boys and their love.

  • sigh*
i am so in love with this story. thank you- a million times over, dear flamingo. [6]
