Pairings

Minor pairings, particularly Lucas Randall/Vaughn Pearson and Lucas Randall/Marshall Wheeler, do appear in some fanfiction.

Connections with Other Fandoms

Michael Seater (Lucas Randall), Shadia Simmons (Corrine Baxter) and Robert Clark (Vaughn Pearson) appeared in The Zack Files, another series about a young protagonist encountering the paranormal. Seater, Simmons, Clark, and John Ralston (Avenir) have since gone on to appear on the Life with Derek series. All of the continuing adult cast and some of the guest stars on Strange Days previously appeared in another Disney Channel series, The Famous Jett Jackson. As a result, crossover fanfiction between any and all of these series were common.

So Weird has a similar concept. The creator credited Buffy the Vampire Slayer as an inspiration.

Strange Days aired in the United States as part of Discovery Kids' Scary Saturday Night Sleepover television block on Saturday nights back-to-back with Truth or Scare starring Michelle Trachtenberg, and some older fansites were dedicated to Scary Saturday Night Sleepover as a block, rather than just one show in particular. There was at least one crossover fanfiction between Strange Days and Truth or Scare.
