It's been fun, folks, but... We regret to inform you... No, that's not right... How about...

Yes, this is one of those articles that's trying to tell our members that, unfortunately. Children of Herne is ceasing to exist as a club with the posting of this newsletter. There are several reasons for this, but the truth is that the amount of time involved is more than we can devote to this one endeavour. We wanted to quit with a good feeling and without alienating any fans because we couldn't deliver what we promised.

We will continue to make available the signs and magnets and continue to donate any monies so raised to Wolfhaven. We are keeping our post office box, and all correspondence and orders will reach us there. We encourage you to continue to support Wolfhaven as well. It Is a worthy organisation.

Although the club has ceased to exist, it's individual members are involved in fandom and will continue to attend a wide variety of conventions. We hope to see you at various and sundry conventions throughout the coming years.

Like you, we're disappointed that the time has come to say farewell, but there was no other alternative.

Everyone has gotten all the promised materials, except their membership cards. Since we are folding, we really see no point in issuing them. If you really want one, however, send us a SASE and we'll mail one off to you. If you are due a refund, there is no need to contact us. Refunds will be mailed out as quickly as possible.
