Summary

"His dad's girlfriend was sweet for wanting to help Minho find a boyfriend, going as far as roping her own daughter into bringing over a friend for him to connect with. She meant well, she did.

So maybe that’s why he said it. It was true that he didn’t have time for dating with graduation so soon, but he definitely didn’t have time to disappoint Dahyun, who patted the top of his dad’s head like they were teenagers, Dahyun who managed to place an uncharacteristic pink blush across his dad’s cheeks.

“I’m dating someone,” he’d said.

And without further question or doubt, Dahyun replied, “Oh, then bring him to scary movie night with you. If in the horror movie of our life we decide he dies later than your dad, I approve.”

Minho left the studio with a headache so distracting he drove halfway back to his apartment before remembering he was supposed to be meeting Jisung at the recording space he shared with Changbin and their friend Chan. He turned around recklessly in the middle of the street and focused on reaching the next town over as quickly as possible. It was only at a red light when a dark patch of fabric across Minho’s chest finally caught his attention.

Minho got away with half-assing three more dares—doing a ‘sexy’ solo dance in the middle of the bar (it was half sexy, at most), letting Jisung tweet whatever he wanted from his account (he pulled up his abandoned twitter from three years ago), and buying everyone in the bar a round (which he yelled, loudly, before quickly announcing that he was just kidding)—before Jisung finally put him on a truth-only restriction.

okay so your characterization???? I literally want to engrave every word of dialogue in this story on my gravestone it flowed so well and everyone bounced so naturally off of each other?? Minho and Jisung's dynamic felt so natural and as a whole it really fit the story and nothing felt forced at all. I love Minho's family like damn, we see the placeholder family All The Time in fic and it's not necessarily a bad thing, but it's a tool too often left unused by the author. You used them to fuckin yeet this story's plot through the roof and it was so refreshing to see a kind and loving family in fic rather than abusive or names used to fill a role.

This work might be one of my favorite minsung pieces of all time. I'll be coming back to it whenever I need to cleanse my soul with fluff and banter. If you ever wanted to continue developing this universe, I wouldn't complain. :p Thank you so much for writing!!!!!!!!!

I haven't read a great fic like this in such a long time so thank you so much for writing this! :)) The characterization was amazing, I loved the dialogues - and how some of them were inspired on actual events. All the banter was really entertaining and I could definitely see Minho and Jisung actual personalities in the characters! Fake dating usually results in a fun plot but you definitely took it to the next level, I really loved every line of the story!

I really like your writing, it flows so nicely and I loved how you played the characters, even tho it was your first time writing skz. You did really well. I LOVE FAKE DATING, but I can't stress enough all the things that can go wrong and make me mad but you did it so amazingly. I loved the family chemistry, minho's dad and his girlfriend are adorable, I LOVED MINBIN FRIENDSHIP, you gave me good minbin content in a minsung fic and I’m so thankful, my multi shipper heart is full of love. I loved each and every minsung interaction since the first one. This really made my heart beat faster. When minho whispered “I'm sorry” before kissing jisung, I swear I could hear his whisper and imagine the whole scene so vivid, it was so wonderful. I loved each detail of this story and it's definitely one of my favorites now. It made my night and made me happy and light after a bad and hard day (I usually read fanfiction on bad days to try to feel better and you helped). So thank you very much. Thank you for the way you described the characters, how you built their chemistry, the laughs you stole me, the feelings you gave me with such a nice story.
