January 1: Newsies: A Novel is published.
April 10: Newsies film is released.
August 15: Roundhouse begins airing.
1994
July 1: Dominic Lucero dies from lymphatic cancer.

December 31: The Newsies Webring is created.
1997
December: The Newsie Fan Fiction Collection is online.
1998
July 14: The Newsie Fan Fiction Collection stops updating.
July 15: The Newsies Mailing List is created.
1999
March: The first lodging house site is created.
March 26: Spitfire posts Learning to Receive.
May: Bottle Alley: Newsies Fan Fiction is online.
July 16: Fans hold The Newsies Rally.
2000
The Golden Newspaper Awards are held for the first time.
July 16: Laces begins posting the Sunny Days Saga.
October 2: Seize The Night, the first Newsies slash archive, is created.
2001
Fans hold a second The Newsies Rally.
January 14: The Newsie Nickname Registry is created.
2002
May 26: The New York Times reports on "Virtual New York," particularly lodging houses.
December 6: Lute posts "Mournful Gaze," possibly the first Snitch/Skittery fic.
2003
February: Keza and Shortie create the Newsies Justice League.
April: Lute hosts Snitch Week, the first known fanweek.
May 4: Queenitsy begins posting How I Spent My Summer Vacation.
August 23: Sloanne begin posting Everything You've Done Wrong.
November 28: Newsies100 is created on LiveJournal.
December 15: Sapphy begins posting Help Me! I’m Trapped In A Mary Sue Body!

May 3: The Refuge is created.
August: The official website for Blood Drips on Newsies Square is available online and a fan LiveJournal community is created.
2007
October 8: Kevin Stea posts Newsies behind-the-scenes videos on YouTube.
2011
September 25: Newsies stage musical premieres at Paper Mill Playhouse.
2012
March 19: Newsies stage musical publically premieres on Broadway.
May 15: Newsies (Original Broadway Cast Recording) released.
June 10: Newsies receives the Tony Awards for Best Choreography and Best Original Score and is nominated for Best Musical.
June 19: 20th Anniversary release of Newsies film.
2014
February 13: bahorelfeuilly posts the first known Mewsies edits.
August 14: Newsies cast perform at 54 Below, "Stop the Presses." Set list.
August 24: Newsies stage musical closes on Broadway.
