Hi, I'm Ver. Non-traditional college student trying to finally get my BA. English major with a Women's Studies minor- which basically means I'm reading school work, writing school work, or procrastinating on school work. Upstate New Yorker, but wanting to get the hell out after graduation. Writer. Sometimes photographer. Gynephilic. Atheist. Lover of fantasy, mystery, video games, and shounen.
Fannish History
My first fandom was Harry Potter, where I started lurking probably around 2004-2005 or so. In 2007, I fell into Hikaru no Go and Anime in general, and also stumbled out of the dark shadows of lurkerdom and began to write Fanfiction. The rest, as they say, is history. Hikago is still my main fandom.
I've been the mod of kifu_archive on DW for a while, but as of the May 2014 round, I've also been co-mod of blind_go.
I've also been known to play in Fandom RPG's. I'm unfortunately way too busy these days to do it in an official game capacity, but I'm open to potentially setting up private games over AIM. Message me if you want!
Current Favorites
Hikaru no Go: Hikaru/Akira, Kaneko/Mitani, Kaga/Tsutsui, Waya/Isumi, and so on. I'll basically read any sort of pairing (or gen) in this fandom except for Sai/Hikaru, Ochi/Anybody, and Kuwabara/Anybody.
Fullmetal Alchemist: I'm not really that picky.
Kingdom Hearts: Riku/Sora, Axel/Roxas
Prince of Tennis: Fuji/basically everyone, Oishi/Eiji
Harry Potter: Harry/Draco, Ron/Hermione, Ginny/Neville
Ace Attorney: Phoenix/Miles, Apollo/Klavier

Miscellaneous
I do tend to lean more toward slash/yaoi ships, but I do have het and femmeslash/yuri ships as well. Chemistry between people in a paring is WAY more important than their gender!
